World Health Qigong Day 2021
The 5th World Health Qigong Day in Melbourne
The annual World Health Qigong Day is celebrated on the 2nd Saturday in September. Organised by the International Health Qigong Federation (IHQF), the link is www.ihqfo.org/en it coordinates the practice of Health Qigong (HQ) at 10am local time in 54 countries and regions in 5 continents across the world. Globally, HQ will be practiced non-stop for 24 hours from east to west.
Health Qigong is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Fluid physical movements, mental cultivation and regulated breathing guides, promote the free flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body. This helps to balance Yin and Yang, improve general health and give a greater sense of well-being.
The theme of this year’s World Health Qigong Day is "Liuzijue - Life Between Breaths", an ideal theme as much of the world is facing life between breaths each day.
In the first 3 years Tai Chi Australia (TCA) celebrated this event at Federation Square in Melbourne. Due to COVID-19 lockdown Stage 4 restriction last year, we celebrated this special event in a special way… Zooming. Unfortunately. this year due to the 6th COVID-19 lockdown restriction currently in place, we will practice Liuzijiu via Zoom again at 10am this Saturday, 11 September.
TCA has been teaching Liuzijiu since the beginning of this year in many of our class locations and in Zoom lessons. We have many students who have enjoyed health and happiness and achieved harmony and balance in their daily lives.
We invite everyone to join us at 9:55am next Saturday, 11 September to celebrate Health Qigong on World Health Qigong Day.
